Left-Handed Pianist film launches at Room 43, Chicago

Published by admin on

On March 19th, the “Left-Handed Pianist” team launched the film with a memorable evening at the Chicago jazz venue, Room 43, a favorite of Norm Malone’s. After showing a video of the Chicago Tribune story that introduced the world to Norman’s story, (Norman saw it in full for the first time!), Norman shared a touching speech of thanks. The love and support for Norman by the audience was evident! The audience then enjoyed a terrific performance by saxophonist/clarinetist Victor Goines and his quartet. Our talented cinematographer and Tribune photographer, Zbgniew Bzdak, generously took and shared with us photos that captured the special event.
Many thanks to Judith Stein and Charlie and Betty Thomas of the Hyde Park Jazz Society for hosting the night.
